Illustration Friday: "Idle"

Here's my illustration for this week's Illustration Friday. This rooster just wants to sleep in and remain "idle" through the morning, despite the ruckus caused by some noisy chicks. Some days you just want to stay in bed.

Done in Adobe Illustrator. Enjoy! : )

Illustration Friday: "Tango"

Here is my entry for this week. The topic is "tango." Tango originated in South America, so I thought I'd draw some tangoing toucans. : ) It's a Keel-billed Toucan (on the left) and a Toco Toucan (on the right), which are both South American birds.

I wanted to do more with this, but kind of ran out of time. I did this in Adobe Illustrator, which, I admit, I have neglected for a long time, so it was fun to draw in the program again. I think I will do more illustrations in Illustrator in the future, even though Photoshop is my preferred program at the moment. It's fun to switch things up a bit.

Illustration Friday: "Hollow"

Just a quick painting in Photoshop for Illustration Friday. The topic was "hollow," so it's a little Northern Saw-Whet Owl hiding from the rain in a tree hollow. Yes... I love owls. They're so adorable. : )

Illustration Friday: "Shaky"

Ack, almost late again this week! Well, anyway, here is my submission for Illustration Friday. The topic was "shaky" this week, so I did an illustration of a circus elephant on a ball with roller skates on and hula hooping while a cute mouse looks on. The spotlight signals that he is the center of attention on stage. Mr. Elephant is shaky in more ways than one! How will he keep his balance? Anyway, hope you enjoy. This week's topic was quite fun. : )

Illustration Friday: "Worn"

This week's topic for Illustration Friday is "worn." Even though the teddy bear is old and "worn", the little girl still loves him with all her heart. I'm sure a lot of people, including myself, had a cherished, old stuffed animal when they were little. They hold a lot of memories.
